Khalil Suleiman Halilu, the Executive Vice Chairman and CEO of the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI), has been honored with the Young Global Leader Award by ThisDay Newspaper.
The prestigious award was presented during ThisDay’s grand 30th-anniversary celebration held at the Eko Hotel and Suites in Lagos.
In his acceptance remarks Halilu dedicated the award to the entire NASENI team, acknowledging their collective efforts in advancing innovation and positioning Nigeria at the forefront of technology and engineering infrastructure.

Since taking the helm at NASENI, Halilu has driven groundbreaking initiatives that have positioned the agency as a key player in Nigeria’s industrial revolution.
Under his leadership, NASENI has developed 35 market-ready products for Nigerians and secured 44 projects with partners, many of which are set for launch or commissioning.
This prestigious award recognizes Halilu’s transformative leadership and his significant contributions to Nigeria’s technology and manufacturing sectors.
His vision has also led to the implementation of sustainable green technologies, world-class manufacturing facilities, and strategic collaborations with local and international partners.
