The Chief Executive Officer of TSS, Ezekieh Isidahomhen, disclosed this In an exclusive interview with the National Association of Online Security Reporters (NAOSRE), in Lagos.

TSS has been licensed by the Nigeria Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), since 2013 as a guard force security to provide all levels of security services in the maritime sector.

According to the TSS boss, the security outfit has garnered wealth of experience having been involved in security matters in the country for many years.

He noted that the maritime sector ranks amongst the largest in Nigeria and in so many other countries of the world adding that trading would be incomplete without maritime because heavy goods that cannot be moved by air are transported through water.

“If you quantify the aggregate of heavy and light goods moving around the world daily for human activities, the heavy goods are on a large scale, that is the reason maritime security is of most importance to us at Thems Security System Limited.”Isidahomhen said.

In his words: “Maritime security is a specialized field in the maritime sector with corresponding security operations where the best of intelligence is deployed to protect vessels against internal and external threats.”

“The security encompasses all relevant activities which includes but not limited to early identification of threats, mitigation and management of all intentional unlawful acts.”

“Our redefined scope to play bigger in the maritime sector is anchored on training of our personnel to acquire new skills and sharpen existing skills for better performance and wholesale positive results in the protection of any facilities we are involved.”

“We have up-to-date skills with contemporary trends in the maritime sector with emphasis on International Ship and Port Facility Code, ISPC and our ingrained knowledge of this important code places us ahead other security companies.”

“This is because our understanding of the code enables us to adequately protect and ensure safety of crew, ships, ports and cargoes travelling on local and international waters.”
