Job Proficiency: AMJON Collaborates with School of Eloquence to Train Maritime Journalists

All is now set for the 2024 edition of the Association of Maritime Journalists of Nigeria (AMJON) annual training for maritime journalists.

This year’s edition, titled ‘Special Edition,’ is a joint effort between AMJON and the renowned School of Eloquence, a leading Public Speaking training school.

Scheduled for Friday, June 14, 2024, at the School of Eloquence premises on Osborne Road, Ikoyi, the training will feature experts from the Nigeria Customs Service, Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN), and School of Eloquence.

These experts will provide valuable insights into their respective operations to enhance the journalists’ understanding.

Paul Ogbuokiri, the President of AMJON, emphasized the importance of continuous training for journalists to stay abreast of the industry’s changing landscape.

He highlighted the need for journalists to equip themselves with modern tools to keep up with evolving trends in journalism.

Ogbuokiri expressed his optimism about the partnership with the School of Eloquence, stating that it would enhance the journalists’ reporting skills and knowledge.

Segun Oladipupo, the Chairman of the Organising Committee, encouraged participants to make the most of the training opportunity to elevate their reporting skills.

He urged them to learn about new journalism trends and understand the business aspects of the profession.

Oladipupo extended his gratitude to the School of Eloquence for providing a platform for Nigerian journalists to excel in their daily assignments.
