Bilateral trade between Nigeria and Brazil has risen by 30 per cent between 2019 and 2021 as both countries are enjoying trade balance.
The Consul General of Brazil, Francisco Carlos Liz, disclosed this at the Nigerian-Brazilian trade mission awareness and interactive session recently organised at the Brazilian Embassy, Victoria Island – Lagos.
The event, which precedes an exhibition scheduled to take place in Sao Paolo, Brazil brought together stakeholders in cosmetics from both countries.
The Consul General commended the cordial trade relations between both countries. In his words: “Trade is beneficial to both Nigeria and Brazil. Incredibly, despite the pandemic, our bilateral trade grew by almost 30 per cent from 2019 till now. We are reaching the level of 2008 but it is still way below the era of oil export to Brazil.”
