The Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) has announced the restoration of normalcy, following the flow control earlier instigated by members of the Nigerian Air Traffic Controllers Association (NATCA).
A statement signed by the Managing Director of NAMA, Capt. Fola Akinkuotu, said regular flight operations has resumed in all airports across the country with effect from Tuesday November, 23, 2021.
Akinkuotu noted that the suspension of the flow control was to pave way for a follow-up meeting between NAMA management, Director General of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) and NATCA.
“Meanwhile, the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) hereby wishes to reassure airspace users and the general public that the Nigerian airspace remains safe for seamless and economic air travel. We also regret any inconveniences caused earlier today.” The statement read.
