The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Osun State, says seven commercial vehicles have been impounded for non-compliance with the use of speed limiting device in the state.
The Sector Commander FRSC, Paul Okpe, who disclosed this in a statement in Osogbo, said the command commenced enforcement of the use of speed limiter, especially by commercial vehicles to reduce road crashes.
The FRSC sector commander advised motorists to approach accredited vendors for installation of the device in their vehicles, noting that the enforcement would continue.
“The Osun Sector Command will go tough on commercial vehicles without the speed limiting device. Seven vehicles out of those ones checked have installed the device. We are embarking on serious enforcement of the speed limiting device to reduce crashes.” Okpe said.
