CDHR Congratulates ACP N-Nudam Fredrick on Promotion, Commends IGP, PSC

The Committee for the Defence of Human Rights (CDHR), Akwa Ibom State Branch, has congratulated Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) N-Nudam K. Fredrick on his promotion, describing the elevation as a recognition of professionalism, integrity and dedication to service.

In a statement issued on Thursday, the group’s State Chairman, Comrade Ndifreke Afangide, also commended the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) and the Police Service Commission (PSC) for approving the promotion, saying the decision would inspire officers who uphold integrity and professionalism.

According to the CDHR, ACP Fredrick distinguished himself during his service at the Akwa Ibom State Police Command, particularly as the former Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), where he strengthened communication between the police and the public while promoting respect for human rights.

The rights group noted that beyond his role as police spokesperson, the senior officer served in various command and administrative capacities across divisions in Akwa Ibom State, leaving what it described as a legacy of discipline, professionalism and community policing.

Describing him as “an officer of steel resolve and a golden heart,” the organisation said ACP Fredrick demonstrated that effective policing and respect for human rights could coexist.

It added that the promotion was a reward for his commitment to the rule of law, sacrifice and service to both the Nigeria Police Force and the communities he served.

The CDHR pledged its continued collaboration with the newly promoted officer, expressing confidence that he would use his new position to advance justice, protect human dignity and deepen community policing in Nigeria.

The organisation also wished ACP Fredrick success in his new role and reaffirmed its commitment to supporting initiatives that promote accountability, security and human rights in the country.
