Fidelity Bank Empowers Young Minds with Read2Lead Initiative and Scholarships

Fidelity Bank Plc has marked this year’s Children’s Day with the launch of its Read2Lead Anthology, a collection of essays written by young Nigerians as part of the bank’s flagship literacy initiative.

The event, themed “The Fidelity Fantasyland 3.0,” was held at the Fidelity Grounds in Oniru, Lagos, and drew hundreds of students, parents, and educators.

The Read2Lead Anthology features superhero-themed essays written by 30 outstanding finalists from across the country, centered on the theme “Naija Superheroes.”

The stories showcase the imagination, intellect, and storytelling talent of Nigerian youth.

Over 3,000 students participated in the maiden edition of the Read2Lead competition, which aims to promote literacy and creative expression among young Nigerians.

Dr. Nneka Onyeali-Ikpe, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Fidelity Bank Plc, praised the efforts of the participants and described the anthology as “a powerful testament to the promise of Nigeria’s next generation.”

She emphasized the importance of education in transforming lives and shaping the future.

As part of the celebration, Fidelity Bank awarded scholarships worth ₦150,000 each to four outstanding pupils selected through the Fidelity Savings Loyalty Scheme (FSLS).

The recipients are Thiago Chukwudubem Agada, Nabeela Nia Rufai, Victory Alize Chukwuebuka, and Osinachi Olivia Onyeaghala.

These awards demonstrate the bank’s commitment to supporting education and rewarding academic dedication.
